This seemed like an outrage until I looked at my cable bill. They're all part of the same hypocrisy, as Michael Corleone might say. I wonder how much of the Mob's take ended up in campaign coffers.
Less than four weeks 'til the Sopranos!

Posted by: Olam at March 7, 2004 10:35 PMRe: AJ's being too young, he'll be twenty-ish during the final season. But granted, I can hear him yelling, "I'm smart, not dumb like people say I am, but smart!" Meadow is definitely more like Michael Corleone, but for her to get wrapped up in the family biz would be a major break in character. That flirtation ended w/ Jackie Jr., I think.
The latest previews HBO is running imply that Johnny Sack takes out Carmine and then gets challenged by Tony, but Chase is known to mislead people w/ teasers like that. Can't wait to see Buscemi . . .
Posted by: VC at February 24, 2004 01:03 AMI'd really love to see Meadow get in the family business...I could see her and Tony up for a confrontation, with AJ playing the more passive, stupid "Fredo" role.
Posted by: Matt at February 23, 2004 05:32 PMI think AJ is too young to play a major confrontational role. They'd have to get him into the business real quick. My guess is that there will be some kind of confrontation between Tony and Johnny Sac where Meadow (Tony's most precious possession) and / or Carm are killed by accident ... leaving Tony broken and weeping. I think Tony will live.
Posted by: at February 12, 2004 03:21 PMChase is building up to a tragic confrontation between Tony and AJ. There are other key characters, obviously, but the two of them are what it's all about, IMO. The Jackie Jr. thing was a foreshadowing, a sign of where AJ is headed unless he breaks completely w/ Tony -- which he shows absolutely no sign of doing, 'cause he's too dumb and inert. The divorce plays right into this; AJ already began playing Tony off against Carm, and that side of it will get more serious as he gets into the family biz. What other option does he have?
Posted by: VC at February 12, 2004 02:00 PMAny thoughts on how the series will end? Tregedy? I've heard rumors that Tony runs off with Carrie Bradshaw (Sex in the City).
