One Good Day

Found out I'd lost a friend last night -- a good guy gone suddenly, way too soon. Here's how I felt this morning.

Give me one good day
I’d give back all the rest
Baby, what can I say?
I’ve made oh such a mess
One good day
It’s not a lot to ask
Give me one good day
Even if it has to be the last

You can stumble on
Mixing right up with wrong
And be in such good company
A lot of people are like that
Who don’t see where it’s at
And if it were up to me

We’d have one good day
And then take a long, long rest
Hear what I say
It might all be for the best

With one good day
You could do an awful lot
Just one good day
Might be all you’ve got

It’s long been said
these ideas in my head
are an idle use of time
Ever seen a man of inaction
who can’t get no satisfaction
‘cause he just won’t make up his mind?

Give me one good day
Let’s forget the rest
What can I say?
What’s past is past
One good day
is more than some have had
Just one good day
wouldn't be so bad
No, I wouldn’t be so bad

I'm a bit late, but I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. As Deano said, perfect words to live by.

Sorry to hear about your loss. Tough time of year to get that kind of news. My thoughts are with you.
