Dear Tatiana:
(1) Many thanks for your msgs (ATTACHMENT I and II) with kind words.
I greatly appreciated to read your excellent concept paper:
DRAFT
The concept note
on the project of working group activity of the
«Global Collaborative Research and Development»

(2) First of all, let us decide the title of our project.
I would like to propose “Quantitative Policy Analysis of Global
Socio-Economic-Energy Development.”
This is because we need to look into the future of including not only the
policy analysis of the Republic of Altai, but also the one of entire Russia,
when its model will be interconnected.
We will also submit our grant proposal to the Center of Global Partnership
of the Japan Foundation, -- and, as you may know, Japan will increasingly
depend on the energy supply from Russia, i.e., Japanese economy will largely
depend on the oil and gas supply from Russia.
This, in turn, means that I would like to have energy simulation model of
Russia when its entire economy model will be included in this project.
(3) Secondly, pls ask Natalia to polish your English, as she proposed before
— she may have better American (or British) English, rather than my
JaponEnglish — for example, I have never encountered with the word
“imitating calculations.” Do you mean “simulation” with it?
> Dear Natalia:
>
> Pls work on it in the following one or two weeks. Thanks.
Dear Hans:
(4) Many thanks for your msg (ATTACHMENT III).
I shall wait for your concept paper. However, pls note the above subject,
i.e., our endeavor in relation with Japanese economy model would need to
emphasize on the energy issue, and I hope your concept paper would reflect
on it.
Dear Prof. Onishi:
(5) It has been sometime since our last correspondences. Hope everything is
going fine and well with you.
We are now embarking the aforementioned project — which is an extension (or
practical approach) of our Globally Collaborative Environmental Peace Gaming
(GCEPG) project about which I mentioned to you many years before — see;
> Takeshi Utsumi, GLOSAS/USA
> "Globally Collaborative Environmental Peace Gaming"
Pls also see ATTACHMENT II of the following previous list distribution,
which briefly described our present project proposal;
> (03/21/07) Possible creation of GUS/Palestine/Gaza Strip and Peace Gaming
> http://tinyurl.com/2wmeyt
We would like to have your FUJI model play a major role in this endeavor, --
we would also particularly appreciate to have a Japanese energy model
together, if you have.
When we secure a fund from the Japan Foundation, we would like to have you
attend our first planning workshop — probably at Polytechnic University in
Brooklyn, NYC. We will discuss how to design a database through which
pertinent data to be interchanged among interconnected simulation models
which will be resided in Russia, the US, China, Japan, etc., etc.
BTW, pls visit the following FORTUNE article about Novosibirsk;
> The next Silicon Valley: Siberia
> A tech boom is giving life to a former Soviet center for science. IBM, Intel -
> and even Oprah - are paying attention.

Dear Harold:
(6) We are getting ready to submit a grant proposal to the Japan Foundation
for this project from your Polytechnic University.
When shall we meet to talk about more?
Best, Tak
