Dear Elena:
(1) Many thanks for your msg (ATTACHMENT I) in response to my following
previous list distribution;
> (02/08/07) Request For Proposals (RFP) of European Commission for ICT projects
> http://tinyurl.com/yrmgeo
(2) I am very glad to receive it, indeed, especially with your kind words to
help fund raising from the European Commission for our projects.
I anticipated to hear of your kind words when I visited your school in the
spring of 2005, instead of meeting you in Milan as you suggested at that
time.
> My wife, Hisae, and I express again our sincere thanks for your and Prof.
> Ferrari¹s extraordinary hospitality at that time. Pls convey my best personal
> regards to Prof. Ferrari.
(3) I will ask your help for our various projects from time to time.
However, for the moment, I would greatly appreciate it if you can kindly
help Margarita.
Dear Margarita:
(4) Many thanks for your msg (ATTACHMENT II).
It was certainly my grerat pleasure to have met with you at the Board of
Directors Meeting of Project Globe Consortium for Continuing Professional
Development (CPD) on January 26th in Basking Ridge, New Jersey.
(5) I agree with you that the 7th EU Framework Programme is difficult to
decipher.
Pls visit the list distribution of the Item (1) above, and then find the
following in the Item (1)-(d);
> Proposals in ICT Call 1 (FP7-ICT-2007-1): Frequently asked questions (version
> 1.0; 22nd December 2006) (8 pages)
> <ict1_faq_200701_en.pdf><http://tinyurl.com/2d3yto>
At the very end of this info, you can find;
> Contact the FP7 Information desk
> http://ec.europa.eu/research/index.cfm?pg=enquiries
> or
> Contact the ICT Theme Information Desk:
> email: ict at ec.europa.eu
> phone: +32-2-296.8596
> fax: +32-2-296.8388
(6) Pls feel free to contact Elena, too. She is a veteran on the fund
raising specially from the EC, as previously raising funds and managing
them for various projects ranging from Bangladesh, Latin America and
Scandinavia, etc., to name but a few.
Pls inform me of the results of your findings.
Pls also inform me if we can be of any help to raise funds from the Japanese
government if you can go along with our GUS way.
Wishing you a very good luck to your Continuing Professional Development
(CPD) (i.e., Continuing Medical Education [CME]) project.
Best, Tak
