Dear Ganit:
(1) Many thanks for your msg sorry for my belated reply.
(2) I took a look on the info you once sent to me before again, and I am
impressed with your organization¹s activities very much. We can certainly
work together for our mutual benefits.
(3) Pls visit our web which URL is listed in my e-signature below.
Click ³Current Reference Websites² at the top-right corner of the home page.
You can then find the activities of our colleagues in various African
countries the Ethiopian¹s concept paper for the Japan Social Development
Fund (JSDF) at the World Bank is the combination of the similar concept
papers of our colleagues in Malawi and Uganda, and the most recent and
completed one.
(4) When they succeed to get the JSDF they will get US$50,000 for their
seed money to have (1) my fact-finding and assessment trip, (2) a
mini-workshop which will form a committee which will construct a full
proposal in a year for larger (say, up to US$2 million) project, and (3) the
construction work of the full proposal.
(5) I will announce those mini-workshops in our list so that anyone who can
attend it are welcome so that they can find their appropriate counterparts
in their localities. Their joint projects will then be included in the full
proposal. It is very important to have face-to-face mtg to initiate
collaborative work later.
> Should you be interested in the Ethiopian¹s project, yours may be listed in
> their concept paper as similar to the UNDP¹s case in the concept paper
> prepared by our Malawian colleague.
(6) We are also now working to have a 5-day workshop at the University of
Tampere for institutionalizing our GUS, and we have already asked a help to
a high echelon of the European Commission.
When we get their fund, I will also announce it through our list we hope
it to be held in this coming fall or winter.
You may then attend it to meet with our colleagues.
(7) When our colleagues in other countries are ready to construct their
concept paper for the JSDF, I will inform you so that your project may be
included as similar to the UNDP¹s case in the concept paper prepared by our
Malawian colleague.
(8) In addition to those African countries, we also have several other
countries¹ colleagues working toward the construction of their concept
papers for the JSDF.
Keep in touch.
Best, Tak
