Mrs. Claudine DEBRAY <debray@arttic.fr>

Dear Mr. Butler:

(1) I greatly appreciated your excellent panel presentation at the SATCOM
conference at New York Hilton Hotel yesterday.

(2) About the datacasting subject I inquired you at the end of the session,
I would greatly appreciate it if you can kindly inform me the followings;

> (a) Activities of datacasting at your affiliated TV stations,
> (b) Similar one at a TV station in New Jersey you mentioned,
> (c) Similar one by a consortium of universities in Texas,
> (d) A few vendors=B9 web sites for the technology.
>=20
Is this datacasting being done along with HDTV broadcasting?

Is this datacasting being made as embedding data stream into video stream,
or through entirely separate frequency from the HDTV?

(3) As mentioned at that time, such a technology would be a substantial
benefit to those people in remote/rural areas of developing countries, sinc=
e
most of major universities there have their own TV stations. The technolog=
y
would act as the one provided by DirectPC of Hughes, but terrestrially
instead of via satellite, i.e., web access via narrow band terrestrial wire=
d
line for uplinking and then downloading its content via broadband with this
technology.

(4) Should you be interested in our Global University System (GUS) project,
pls visit my brief description at;

> http://www.learningcitizen.net/newsletter.shtml

> Dear Claudine:
> Many, many thanks for your publishing this abstract (ATTACHMENT I). Pls
> convey my best regards to Mr. Paul Crompton for his excellent editorial.

(5) I gave you a flyer of our new book =B3Global Peace Through The Global
University System.=B2  The entire content of the book can be retrieved at;
