Dear Tiffany:

(1) I am very delighted to receive your msg saying that Dr. Hong and many
people in Taiwan are now getting interested in e-learning.

(2) During my stay in Taipei in April of last year by the kind invitation o=
f
Dr. Hong, I visited Dr. Wang of Chunghwa Telecom and his staff.

At our mtg, there were also Drs. Cheng.

(3) Dr. Wang kindly offered me the experimental use of a transponder on his
ST-1 satellite which covers Taiwan, a part of Mainland China, the
Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, etc., if there is a government
subsidy.

(4) On 3/20/02, I had a pleasant discussion with Josette and Larry in
Manhattan.
>=20
We discussed how to utilize Dr. Wang=B9s kind offer for e-learning which may
be originated from Taiwan, and which can include peace education as well.
We agreed that, it would be substantial if we can get the interest and
support of Ms. Lu, Vice President of Taiwan, and also the same of the
Japanese government.

(5) Incidentally, after my talk at the seminar at ACER last August, Drs.
Cheng indicated their willingness to work on the formation of a coalition o=
f
educational institutions in Taiwan for this project, and I am waiting for
their msg on this regard.

(6) Should Dr. Hong and FOWPAL people be interested in this direction, pls
visit my PowerPoint Slide =B3Three Steps How to Proceed=B2 at;
http://www.friends-partners.org/GLOSAS/Nigeria%20Workshop/HTML%20Presentati=
o
n%20folder/ppframe.htm

As indicated there, we would need to conduct a series of workshops.

(7) You may also be interested in my recent list distribution =B3(05/06/02)

Pls convey my and Hisae=B9s (my wife) best personal regards to Dr. and Mrs.
Hong and Tai Ji Men dizi.

Best, Tak
