Dr. Larry T. Gell <lgell@iaed.org>

Dear Dr. Tze:
=============

(1) Last night, Dr. Larry Gell informed me that you will cordially invite
me to your wonderful World Citizens Assembly (WCA) 2001 conference of
the Association of World Citizens (AWC) which is cosponsored with your
Tai Jim Men Qigong Academy and is to be held in Taipei, Taiwan from
March 30th to April 3rd. He also said to me that I am nominated to
receive your prestigious PEACE AWARD. I am simply overwhelmed with
such a honor and very delighted to accept your invitation.

(2) I visited your impressive web and found that the goal of the AWC ³To
create a Global Village of lasting peace with social and economic
justice, and a healthy and sustainable environment for the 21st
Century" and your conference theme ³Creating a Culture of Peace for the
Global Village of the 21st Century" are very much similar to our
     goals.

(3) For example, pls visit (if you have time) followings in the web site
     of my book draft at;

     http://www.friends-partners.org/GLOSAS/Bookwriting/Contents_of_Book.html

     (a) Chapter 1:

          1.11 War and peace gamings

Particularly the diagram ³Peace Game for Global
               Understanding"

2.2 Inception of global peace gaming

3.2 Effort of extending U.S. VANs to overseas

Taiwan was mentioned as the one of countries I helped to
extend Telenet (a predecessor of Internet) from the US
               almost 20 years ago.

3.5 De-regulation of the Japanese telecommunications policy for
the use of e-mail through the U.S. government

Thanks to my effort mentioned here, over 377 million
people around the world are now using email.

     (b) Chapter 3:

          Section 1:

               Rainbow Bridge Across the Pacific:
Slide show on the comparison of Eastern and Western
cultures in relation with functions of analog, digital and
               hybrid computers.

You may be interested in its Slide #9 ³Mathematical
               Expression of Religions and Cultures."

          Section 2:

Acceptance Speech of Lord Perry Award for Excellence in
               Distance Education

          Section 3:

Principles and Philosophies of Global University System

     (c) Chapter 4: Global University System

     (d) Chapter 5: Global Peace Gaming

This may go along with the Abolish Was Campaign of the
AWC, though it is rather cutting-edge technical approach.

(4) Our current activities are briefly summarized in "GLOSAS Projects for
Closing Digital Divide" -- Paper to be published in InterMedia of
     International Institute of Communications (IIC).

     This can be retrieved at;

          http://www.friends-
partners.org/GLOSAS/Global_University/Global%20University%20System/Digital%20Divide/Closing_Digital_Divide.html

As said in it, we are now working to establish following very
     interwoven organizations;

          1. Global University System (GUS) (TM),
          2. Global Broadband Internet (GBI),
          3. Global Service Trust Fund (GSTF) (TM).

(5) I would very much appreciate it if you can kindly introduce me to some
of your conference colleagues or some appropriate persons in Taiwan
who may be interested in our projects, i.e., creating GUS in their
countries or regions with GBI which are to be financed with GSTF --
for example, National Open University in Taipei and others in Taiwan
     could be the ones.

BTW, I clicked ³Academic Forum" in your web, but nothing
          appeared.

Those GUSs could go along with the AWC's project of establishing World
Citizens Centers around the world (50 countries to date). Connecting
them with GBI may help accelerate the AWC's ³Students for Peace"
program, too. Our accumulated experiences with the ³Global Lecture
Hall (GLH)" (TM) multipoint-to-multipoint, multimedia, interactive
videoconferencings around the world may also help your on-going
assemblies, conferences and seminars around the world.

(6) One of schemes of the GSTF is to pool un-used, extra satellite
     capacity.

I heard from a Japanese colleague that the Taiwan domestic satellite
company has such un-used capacity and is willing to offer it for
     humanitarian projects.

I would very much appreciate it if you can kindly arrange a mtg with
an appropriate person of the company during your conference.

(7) Lastly, this conference opportunity is very special to me and it would
be very high honor if I would be selected for your prestigious PEACE
     AWARD.

I sincerely wish to share such an honor and excitement with my beloved
wife since she has been the most strong supporter of my life-long
endeavor. If I will be the only one to experience such an
extraordinary occasion, I should certainly feel serious guilty to her.
I would then respectfully request your generous consideration of
inviting her together with me -- preferably at business-class air
accommodation -- this is also a precaution for any event during
     strenuous trip at our ages.

We would like to arrive Taipei around the noon of March 29th and
arrive back New York by the noon time of April 4th.

Looking forward to receiving your response soon,

Best, Tak
