I just received via my Twitter account (from Senator Reid)  that John Glenn,
Neil Armstrong, Edwin Aldrin and Michael Collins were awarded the
Congressional Gold Medal today.or are in the process of receiving it.

 

Senator Reid tweeted:

 

"Congrats 2 Neil Armstrong, Michael Collins, Buzz ALdrin & John Gleen 4
rcvng the Cong. #GoldMedal.  They are All American heroes to honor."

 

And

 

"#Space travel has taught us much about the #planet we call home as about
the mystery of what lies beyond.  Thank go to these 4 #pioneers."
