The term 'demanned' was used by Trinity House when the programme of automating the lighthouses commenced in 1983 in UK waters so it is not new...however that was on a permanent, never to be manned again basis, so I fear for ISS if applied on the same terms...

yeah, "demanned" is a new one on me, but it makes sense--"unmanned" is something like Hubble; "demanned" implies it had a crew and they're leaving.
