If you knew a bit about current Russian system you'd
understand that everything Putin shoves through Duma
the latter passes without objections.

You didn't see my sarcasm? I know that Obama's decision
is dictated by the U.S. interests and capabilities.
I do not believe his intention is to undermine Russian
efforts.
In the same logic I believe that Putins' move on Fannie Mae
and Freddie Mac stock was dictated by Russian interests and
not by a desire to exacerbate the U.S. crisis. And his
approach to Chinese was an attempt to advice friends.
I do not need to be Paulson to think this simple way.
