Yes I think it does.  I remember asking Phillip Clark about it at a BIS Soviet/Chinese symposium a couple of years ago.  He put it down to taking things out of context as I recall.  He'd be the best person to ask.

I want to come back to an often-repeated legend: that of Chinese heat shields made of wood (oak wood, exactly). 
What is interesting is that powdered cork oak wood is used also as one of the ingredients of US heat shields, for example on all Martian landers from Viking on. Could it be that wood is just one ingredient of the Chinese shields as well?
