[FPSPACE] Feoktistov dies

I recognize the photograph.

Back in the late 1980s a set of official cosmonaut portraitures were
released, of all living participants (the deceased ones were also included
but those particular photographs were from the officially released pictures
at the time of their original flights--like Gagarin, Komarov, Belyayev,
Volkov, Dobrovolskiy, and Pastayev). The original Vostok, Voskhod and early
Soyuz cosmonauts all wore this space suit (as like Feoktistov) in the set
(yes, even B. Yegorov had this suit on also). Later cosmonauts also wore
suits as well, although some of those appear to be posing in flown versions.

So beyond that, there is no apparent significance.

Interestingly, the picture that accompanies this article shows
Feoktistov wearing a spacesuit, which of course he did not on
his sole space flight, on Voskhod in 1964. It appears to be from
the time he was training for a flight on a Soyuz-TM, a flight he
never made because of a supposed lack of fitness for the mission.

The picture is also captioned something like "what he looked like
half a century ago", which is of course not accurate, since there
were no cosmonauts in training in 1959, least of all Feoktistov.

Anyway, now there is no one left alive who flew into orbit on
Voskhod.
