NICOSIA [MENL] -- Iran has reported the development of additional models of
intermediate-range ballistic missiles.
Officials said the new missiles were more effective than Iran's
Shihab-3B. They said the missiles were tested over the last six months and
would be developed throughout the next year.
"We have developed a new generation of long-range missiles," Iranian
Defense Minister Mustafa Najar said.

This could turn out to be the Ashura or No-dong-B

Iran Prepares To Deploy IRBM

TEL AVIV [MENL] -- Iran was said to be preparing to deploy a Soviet-origin
intermediate-range ballistic missile that could be equipped with a nuclear
warhead.
Israeli intelligence sources said Iran was completing modifications of
the BM-25 ballistic missile, supplied to Teheran in 2007. They said Russian
scientists and engineers were preparing the BM-25 for operational use in
2009.
"The BM-25 would give Iran the capability to strike anywhere in the
Middle East and Europe," an intelligence source said.
