OK, time to whine about a pet peeve.  I watched the Soyuz launch earlier
that brought the 11th-13th humans into space, and the NASA commentator
consistently pronounced the word SOY-ooze (first syllable like the sauce
or bean) rather than the correct sah-YOOZE.  The 4 Cyrillic letters in the 
word (ess oh you zeh is approximately how they are pronounced) are
transliterated as s-o-yu-z.  Since it's been over 30 years since an
American first flew a mission with a Soyuz, it would be nice if we'd get
the pronunciation right.
