[FPSPACE] Looking for a vision

Hi Jens - 

The topic of US Afghanistan policcy is a long way from the FPspace topics - but since you used FPspace to attack President Obama's decision, here's my estimate of some of the reasons for it - 

1) Obama is tired of seeing Afghan heroin kill Americans, including innocent women and children, in US cities.

2) Obama is tired of seeing Afghan arms killing innocents around the world

3) Obama is tired of seeing "bizarre" forms of Islam imposed on many unwilling Moslems.

4) Obama is determined to end Al Qaeda's safe haven for operations.

I believe that both China and Russia welcome this effort, as they have suffered from these things as well.

That's my estimate, but again, I've had a stroke and I am a long way from Washington, just wrapping up some of the loose ends of the Oklahoma City bombing. 

I wish our troops the very best in performing the difficult tasks  necessary to achieve these goals.
