4.5 billion yuan, 20 to 30 launchers per year

That's right: 20 to 30 launchers per year.

20 to 30, depending on CZ5 launches, as the engines (and fuels) are common across all of them - so use an engine for the CZ2h or core, or for a booster for the CZ5. I wonder if China will ever go to folding wing flyback boosters?

Another big question: When will CZ2 production facilities be cut over to the new fuels. It seems to me that with 20 to 30 launches per year, it will be a while before or if ever all launches are tranfered to Hainan.

Some US space fantasists had thought that minorities of different types might pioneer space - they never considered that a resource bound country might have the greatest interest in making use of space resources.

Could CZ5's 14 tons to GEO make possible handheld phones serviced from there?

If one could factor out China's own needs, one could estimate what they will offer in the international launch market - comsats included.

Can we get rid of the Ares 1 now, and get on with Direct?

With a big tip of the hat to David Rickman- hope you're enjoying your copy of "Man and Impact in the Americas David.

PS - Does anyone know when the OCO replacement will be flown, and about any insurance on Orbital's launch failure?
