Hi all -

In all of the coverage I've seen of the 40th anniversary of the first Moon landing, I've seen no mention of Willy Ley.

What brought this to my mind was seeing a copy of "By Space Ship to the Moon" by Jack Coggins and Fletcher Pratt, forward by Willy Ley, Random House, 1952.

Consider that Ley was there doing PR from the first in Germany, and that without his preceding work with Bonestell none of the Collier's and Disney materials would have happened.

Now does he get a mention? No.

Ungrateful B******ds,

PS - A small fragmented comet is headed our way.
