Hi all,
You know, it's strange. If I remember correctly, Houston had to fight with Griffin to get the Moon architecture that lead to the vehicle featured in President Obama's inaugural parade. Of course, that's just the way I remember it, and the facts may differ, so you may want to check your back files on that.
Moving on to today's news:
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-1126543/Far-moon-faced-Earth-asteroid-flipped-around.html
"NASA gave MIT scientists the go-ahead in February 2008, to develop
plans for a $1 billion-plus array of radio telescopes that would be
sited on the far side of the moon. These would be shielded from radio
transmissions from Earth."
This will probably end up being adapted as the Ostro NEO detection radar, after Weiler goes.
Finally, the strange idea hit me that while we view "international co-operation" in Russia-US terms, we may be slightly chauvinistic in doing this. Anyone ever consider China-India space co-operation?E.P. Grondine
Man and Impact in the America (really a pretty good book, IMO)
