BAIKONUR
(Kazakhstan), December 18
(Itar-Tass) -- The Soyuz TMA 17 spaceship will take off from the Baikonur
spaceport in Kazakhstan in the small morning hours
of December 21.

"That would be the first launch of a Soyuz spaceship done
on a winter night," a representative of the Energia Aerospace Corporation told
the media on Friday. "As a rule, Soyuz launches have taken place in spring,
summer or fall and in broad daylight."
