[FPSPACE] Spiral UFO puts Norway in a spin

What this did remind me of a picture that a friend of mine who worked on the old Sprint ABM weapons system had on his wall. The Sprint, which was a solid booster, used either liquid helium or nitrogen to vector its trust. Well one of the vectoring jets had malfunctioned and there was this picture of this Sprint spiraling down the test range parallel to the ground about Mach 1. I'd love to see the film of that some day.

Along those lines, I note that the AN/FPS-129/HAVE STARE/GLOBUS II X-band imaging radar at Vardø was designed to collect exactly that kind of intelligence. It would be surprising if the Bulava launch weren't being scrutinized by that and perhaps other radars.
