about a MOST unusual sky-borne display observed over Norway.
This is an interesting photo sequence--the video shows the dark expanding ball also. This spiral is reminiscent of spiral petroglyphs found in the British Isles.
Also, concerning the putative Younger-Dryas impact event 12,900 years ago, for which some investigators report finding no evidence, it is included about half way through the History Channel's "How the Earth Was Made" program in the segment "Asteroids", which was re-run last night (having premiered last April). The segment featured discussions of the impacts for Meteor Crater in Arizona, Sudbury basin in Canada, Vredefort basin in South Africa, and Tunguska in Siberia, June 30, 1908, plus the Murchison strewn field in Australia whose meteorites, which fell in the 1969, are rich in amino acids. The coverage of the Younger-Dryas event emphasized the co-eval extinction of Clovis culture and mega fauna and the thin "black mat" layer that marks the horizon, plus the work of K.B. Tankersley of Univ. Cincinnati at Sheriden Cave in Ohio which contains physical evidence from a cosmic, explosive event in the Younger-Dryas time frame; see
