Nice idea - they give an 800 freephone number, which of course only works in the USA!!

Maybe I have just got too used to the Amazon and its dealers, who acknowledge everything and believe in keeping customers up-to-date with the progress of orders. The only reasons I went to Apogee direct was because of a "buy on our website exclusive" with the Apollo reference books and three Mission Reports that UK dealers don't stock.

At least I know not to deal with Apogee direct again. As a comparison, all of my purchases from Amazon and its dealers from the last two days are now dispatched with all stages of the process confirmed by e-mail.

Is there a phone number to get a hold of a body to bark at?

Just wondering whether anyone has had any recent experience in buying from Apogee Books in the USA?

Just over a month ago I placed an order with them for three of the Mission Reports books and the web-only purchase of the Apollo CSM and LM Reference books. My money went though PayPal without any trouble, but as for Apogee Books - total silence. No acknowledgement of my order, not news of dispatch and no responses to the two emails that I have sent, asking for confirmation that the order had been received.

Has anyone else had similar problems recently?

At the very least, the company's Customer "Service" needs to be improved!!
