No Pieces Detach From ISS

MOSCOW. April 8 (Interfax-AVN) - Russia's Energia space rocket corporation does not confirm reports that some pieces detached from the International Space Station (ISS) several days ago.

"The ISS, in particular its Russian segment, is in a normal condition. No pieces or parts detached from the Russian segment," Energia president Valery Lopota told a news conference at the Russian Mission Control Center on Wednesday.

As to the U.S. segment Russian monitoring systems did not register any piece detaching from it, Lapota said.

Western media reported that some pieces detached from the ISS citing data from U.S. monitoring systems.
