[FPSPACE] NK launch....a recollection of 1998

JimO,

 

Just so that you know-the NK actually issued a special commemorative stamp
sheet commemorating the launching of the satellite in 1998.  I have seen it.
It actually depicts the third stage and the satellite.

 

Even if one subscribes to the viewpoint that the NK government is lacking
good judgement, or lacks scruples, I rather doubt that the stamp sheet would
have been issued had there not been intent to launch a satellite back in
1998.  All stamp issuances have to be planned in advance by a certain amount
of time.

 

I still think that globalsecurity.org's coverage of the NK materials-both of
the 1998 space shot failure, and of this current one-remains among the most
accessible, and comprehensive.
