Thieves steal $100,000 of art, memorabilia from Leonov's home



More to come -- but over the weekend thieves broke into Leonov's home

near Star City and stole a great deal of his artwork and career memorabilia,

according to his wife Svetlana. Different press accounts put the value at

$30,000 to $100,000. Search 'google news' under his name in cyrillic, for

dozens of stories being filed in the last few hours. It'll take me awhile 

to read them all.

This large home is in the secure area of well-known 'cosmonaut dachas'.

Leonov remains in the cardiological clinic of the Burdenko Hospital in Moscow.

Last week he underwent a 'coronograph', an imaging angiogram using tracers

to characterize his heart's condition to determine the required treatment.
