[FPSPACE] So what can we make of these stories from Yi?

   While Yi gets anti-inflammatories, or traction to stretch her spine,
until something stops pinching a nerve, we can make one comment.  
FPSPACErs have pointed out that even normal Soyuz landings are "very
rough"; never mind ballistic or supra-ballistic trajectories.

    With all the upgrading of the Soyuz over a third of a century,
surely it would be practical to double the thrust of its retro-rockets,
so that it can land as gently as a hovering helicopter?  We all
understand that this means a mass trade-off somewhere else along the
line, but surely it will be worth it?  - Keith
