[FPSPACE] Orbital Machines?

Not so fast, JimO.
A little birdie told me, when provided with I think two or three of these
URL links from Rense.com a number of months ago, mentioned that two of the
satellites' forms were recognizable to them, with one of them an example of
one of the later examples in the KH- series (the number was stated, but I
won't repeat it here), and the LaCrosse satellite.
And the Part 9 of this satellite reportage series I believe shows the guy
who originated this footage actually at his telescope, with this same person
who did the filming of these zooming in on one of the crafts in orbit. As
you watch it in the film/video clip.
Some of the satellites are silvery, and a couple are definitely
gold-colored.
My thoughts on all of this?
I doubt this is Chinese, or "Alien"....best bet they're USA. The crafts
look like what a satellite may look like once they "unfurl" or "unfold" in
orbit. Not too whacked out. (Remember that not all satellites use solar
panels; and it also may be that the viewing angle of the imagery is not
going to pick up on solar panels not illumined at the correct angle to the
viewer, for the viewer to see them, or image them necessarily.)
Not all satellites launched by the USA are known to their configuration.
(Not the same as suspecting their configuration.)
And there have been a number of accounts that I have been told now and again
over the years that include allusions to launches from other platforms and
areas not in Florida or the western launch area in southern California. I
am certain you also have heard about some of these, JimO.
It has been known for some time that one can image satellites from the
ground, and in decent resolution, using backyard telescopes with 6-inch,
8-inch and 12-inch apertures, coupled with appropriate software that can
capture images.
There was an article several years ago now about this in Sky & Telescope
(viewing satellites in orbit well), I believe, and I don't know if that
author (or one of his colleagues) was visited by the NSA because there was
some mention in print that one can even image "low illumined" satellites
using his method. But in that article showed some imagery of the Space
Shuttle and Mir, I think. And a Soviet satellite too, if memory serves.
(Others may have the article on hand--please correct any mis-recollections
about this article on my part.)
It has a great deal to do with the atmosphere during your observation
period, and your "best seeing"...I think one of the Rense.com pieces talks
about that, and has some discussion about a hypothesis that allows this
person in the UK to view these craft decently.
But like I mentioned farther up on this op-ed, people in the USA can see
them too. And that means the Russians can see them also (there was an
article recently in Aviation Week about this, with what I suspect were the
least decent images the Russians could release). Indeed, there is at least
one fpspacer that posts his own images of ISS here that he has taken (forgot
his name, but you can look up his postings in the fpspace archive).
If he can image ISS and Shuttle, then JimO, your claims of "hoax" ring
hollow.
Amateur planetary astronomers have talked about the "best seeing" subject
for a long time. Especially in regards to Mars, Jupiter and Saturn. But it
should be applicable a lot closer in.
I won't comment on this guy's Rense.com-posted lunar observations, and his
interpretations of those.

These are obvious hoxes photographed in the guy's garage or some such.
The guy has been denounced as a liar by all the 'experts' he claims
to have videotaped interviews with. Where's your sense of smell, Ed?
