Do not take it personal. The fact that a US company makes announcements about Russian space flight and the head of the Russian space agency does not know about it was and remains funny... or sad. We did make an effort to confirm this announcement from Russian sources and posted these confirmations last month.

It is real, as long as Russian taxpayers shoulder so-called "tourist" missions, which were no more than desperate attempts of the government to offset the cost of manned space flight. So far, all these press-releases and Western articles about "space tourism" were mostly hype. I think, skepticism about it is totally justified.
