Hi Folks,

I'm mapping out the internal structure of the 11F74 Almaz (misnomer
"Merkur") capsule manned portion . There are four primary beam-column
style "stringers" that run the full length of the Almaz capsule with
an additional three "stringers" in the pressurized section. There is a
secondary structure attached to these stringers which are used to
support seats and equipment in this part of the capsule. This is the
structure I'm mapping.

An low resolution example of these stringers and some of the secondary
structuring was illustrated in "Assessment of the Almaz Capsule"
written by Dr. Jamie Floyd and can be seen here:

from the Excalibur Almaz PowerPoint presentation which showed an array
of capsules and equipment at NPO Mash ...

capsule on the end, seen here ...

seems to be the capsule from which the first image was captured.

Does anyone in this group have any clearer images from the interior of
this NPO Mash Almaz capsule that they would be willing to share
privately?

Thanks in advance!

Best Regards,

David L. Rickman
