[FPSPACE] FPSpace is back

Folks,

This is a test message to verify that FPSpace is back on line.  We 
apologize for the long delay.  As you can see from the attached 
correspondence it all involved a move of operations from Atlanta to 
Knoxville, TN where the F&P organization is located.  This was to 
involve a straight forward hardware and software move and upgrade but as 
things proceeded it became apparent that there were a lot of problems 
that had to be resolved first.  There were also hacker attacks along the 
way, making the process far more complicated than originally 
anticipated.  Thanks to Greg and his staff, it appears that all of that 
is behind us now, and postings and discussions can resume.

Dave, server back up yesterday - within 3 hours, it was
hacked.  Still investigating.  Don't yet have mailman
working but hope to do so later today/tonight before
leaving for 3 days of travel.  Thanks, Greg

Greg asked me to convey the following message.  He has discovered a lot 
of problems 
on the old server and it has taken him the entire holiday time to get it 
working.  He has 
the web working now and hopes to turn up all the websites by this

Hi David,

I am moving the F&P server tomorrow from Atlanta to Knoxville. Reinstalling
system software and getting it re-homed will take a couple of days. I'm hoping
to have all working again by Friday.  I just wanted to let you know that it will
be down starting at about 9:30 am tomorrow (Wednesday) morning.  Having
the machine with brand new server software (and having it available locally)
should make it much more reliable/available than has been the case in  
the past.
