A clear spell this morning allowed me to see 193 during a 52 degree pass.(
0647 GMT )
It was much brighter than predicted ( at least one magnitude brighter , if
not more ) as it approached , fading rapidly after passing near to Arcturus
in the SouthWestern sky.

The short animation here shows how the brightness varied over a period of 20
seconds or so as it approached Arcturus.

Range to satellite was in excess of 350 km
