I would not be that judgmental. Pravda is more or less moderated communist newspaper, and Izvestia is among the leading mass-circulated Russian newspapers - not business edition like Kommersant or Vedomosti, but on the other hand not tabloid like Komsomolskaya Pravda or Moskovskii Komsomolets. Izvestia is usually rather well informed and competent in the space field, while Pravda is usually both Soviet-times nostalgic and critical towards the existing situation.
