Hi all -

Going back through my history of cosmonautics, much information has been
released on Mikhail Klaudievich Tikhonravov since I wrote it. When I wrote my history
about all that was known was that Tikhonravov disappeared from view after
his landmark article "Flight to the Moon" in Pioneer Pravda in 1951. Tikhonravov's transfer to
S.P.'s shop in 1956 right before Korolev's first presentation of the N-1 probably explains
a whole lot, but the details still have to be filled in.

Another question is who was the engineer/scientist who authored the article on Moon flight
for Red Fleet "Reaction Engines" in October, 1951, in other words who was "Aviants"?

Nothing is known about Tikhonravov's relationship with Mishin after Korolev's death.

Tikhonravov appears to have been S.P. manned space theorist, as H.H.Koelle was for von Braun.

On a personal note, I find it ironic that Tikhonravov's final works were on asteroids.
