 From the drama on K2 right now:

 "The stranded climbers are too high up for an aerial rescue.
 Helicopter rescues can be made of climbers from camp 2
 and below, and an aerial sweep of the mountain could help
 as well."

 If we can't fly helicopters at 30,000 feet here on Earth, 
 it would seem an utter and complete folly to consider ever
 flying them on Mars?
