Last year's Carl Sagan memorial blog-a-thon, held December 20th on the tenth anniversary of his passing, was a huge success.  With more than 250 posts in 11 languages, it became a truly worldwide celebration and proved that Sagan fans are cohering into an online force to reckon with.  This year, I am launching a second blog-a-thon exactly a year after the first one, which will further connect online Sagan fandom and will also commemorate a group of significant Sagan anniversaries that were passed earlier this year: the 10th anniversaries of the release of the film Contact and the opening of the Planet Walk in Ithaca, NY; and the 30th anniversary of the launch of the two Voyager spacecraft.  The format will be similar to last time's: I have already posted the initial announcement post, and will compile a second, separate "meta-post" on December 20th with links to participating posts.
