Now that we're done with drunken astronauts and idiot engineers, here's the 
real news:

1) The development of Ares 1 is going over schedule and budget, leaving the 
US with a gaping hole in manned space access.  Administrator Griffin 
understated both shcedule and budget, and his decision to develop Ares 1 
instead of man rating the existing EELVs will be undergoing review.

2) NASA Administrator Griffin is standing in contempt of the Congress in his 
response to the George Brown Amendment.

If we weren't stuck in Iraq with no good exit strategies, if the President's 
aide and Attourney General weren't both under subpoena, and if the economy 
wasn't shaky, among other pressing issues, the consequences of 1) and 2) for 
Griffin might be severe.
