ITHACA In the four-inch-thick scrapbook Ted Entlich keeps to evoke 90
years of memories is one letter bearing the seal of National Aeronautics and
Space Administration.
That letter, as well as others in his collection are from a man who, as much
as any individual could be, was responsible for putting men on the moon.
Entlich, who recently celebrated his 90th birthday at Alterra, an assisted
living home, was the man chosen to teach 30 scientists who fled from Germany
to the United States. They would eventually work for rocket scientist
Wernher von Braun.
