[FPSPACE] Space Activity Suit - Bio Suit

All,

I had read about the Space Activity Suit a few months ago, now comes
word of something called a Bio-Suit that is being developed at MIT that
sounds similar.

The Wikipedia article states "NASA discontinued research into the space
activity suit, and pressurized suits are still used as of 2006"

My question is, if the SAS / BioSuit is such a nifty keen thing why did
NASA stop working on it?
