[FPSPACE] Iran rocket launch "orbital failure"....shades of Iraqi launch back in 1989?

Yes, this was the test of the Tamouz space launch vehicle, which was a
cluster of 5 Scud-C for the first stage, a shortened Scud-C as second stage
and a new third stage. On the only flight, only the first stage was active,
so nothing could be orbited in this flight. Tamouz was also to be developed
ito the Al-Abeed long range missile.
