Hi all -

I wonder when Krunichev will release images of these new proposed systems, 
or if we'll get images of Krunichev's new designs from MAKS.

Clearly, Krunichev intends to compete with the Orion with this 6 man 
capsule.  I wonder how it would work with the Ariane 5? One must assume that 
it would work fine.

The Angara launcher clearly will be in competition with the Ariane 5, as the 
Proton is now. On the other hand, the ILS partners are contractors on Orion.

On yet another hand, the EU tackled the smaller launch market by partnering 
with Energia on the Soyuz.

As regards Sevastyanov's proposals for Energia's future, I don't know where 
the ESA is at in its budget cycle, or the European view of China's Moon 
Program. Krunichev has announced that their capsule will have a 30 day life 
with lower payload.

I think that it is possible that the NASA architecture has won out over 
Sevastyanov's architecture of working from orbit around the Moon.  Or 
perhaps the new Krunichev capsule is just for servicing the ISS.

It's entirely possible that the current debate will swing the other way, if 
not when Griffin leaves NASA, then by 2016, after China formally adopts.

There still is no clear account of Sevastyanov's dismissal, other than that 
97.5% of stockholders backed it.
