If the DoD wants to take out a satellite on the sly, why not send
up a swarm of nanobots that could infiltrate a foreign satellite and do
everything from analyze it to disable it without outright destroying
it so that it could look like a technical malfunction?

I am being somewhat facetious, but don't tell me that such
technology will become available sooner rather than later.

For a really cheap and effective, if crude, method for taking out
satellites, how about a bucket of sand moving at 18,000 MPH.
