RETURN TO THE MOON
A special open plenary session on "Return to the Moon"
will be held at the upcoming Lunar & Planetary Science
Conference (LPSC) in Houston (League City), TX on March
15, 2006, 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm, Marina Plaza Ballroom.
The goal of the session is to better inform and engage
the lunar and planetary science community on NASA's
current efforts behind the Vision for Space Exploration.
Two invited speakers are featured, to be followed by a
Q & A period:
5:30 - 6:00: John Connolly (NASA JSC):
"The Vision for Space Exploration:
How do we get there from here?"
John Connolly is the Lunar Lander
Pre-Project Manager for the Constellation
Program at NASA Johnson Space Center.
6:00 - 6:30: Chris McKay (NASA ARC):
"Science on the Moon and Preparing
for Mars Exploration: How the Science
Community can help shape the Vision"
Chris McKay is Senior Research Scientist
at NASA Ames Research Center.
6:30 - 7:00: Question & Answer Session
This special session will be moderated by Pascal Lee
(Mars Institute, SETI Institute, & NASA Ames Research
