[FPSPACE] Wishing one and all a very good "Cosmonautics Day"

I hope everyone has a good Yuri G. Day....

My question is:

Why hasn't the US adpoted something of a "space exploration day" or an "Apollo 11 day" that is celebrated every year....Nixon did say that the first Moonlanding was the greatest day since the creation (or something like that).... ;-)

Had this ever been contemplated?

Just wondering.
