Dear JimO,

This is reminiscent of the extraordinary proportion of US 1960s
astronauts who were born on or next to USAF bases, as the children of
USAF / USAAF dads. The two French "born in Africa" spacenauts might have
similar origins, if their dads were French Air Force pilots stationed in
the then colonies / protectorates of Tunisia & Cameroun.
