[FPSPACE] Note on NASA science funding

Those programs would be, one trusts,

- Extra-solar-system astronomy  -- e.g.,  Hubble, Compton, Chandra, and 
successors.

- Solar system probes of various sorts -- orbiters, landers, flybys.

These two categories have been the true glory missions of NASA and will 
probably remain so for a while.  Though I'm all in favor of sending people 
Beyond for spiritual reasons, one shouldn't totally sacrifice real science 
for that goal.

- Earth science.

This category I'm not totally sure of.  Maybe NOAA or the commercial sector 
could pick them up.
