[FPSPACE] Back to the moon and on to Mars, 1997 version

I've been browsing some older sci.space.* postings and found this, which 
seems vaguely interesting when compared with the current Space Vision.  Just 
how much and if it accurately reflects serious NASA thinking at the time is 
unknown.

Actually, now that I think of it, it might be interesting if someone with a 
Web page (I'm the last person on the planet without one) were to assemble 
similar  NASA (and other organizations) Big Picture/Major Programs 
information for various years. Or maybe it's already been done.
