For the non-Americans (and non-TV-watching Americans) on this list, /ABC
This Week/ is one of the traditional Sunday morning news/discussion
programs which focusses on current, esp. political, affairs. Justa buncha
talking heads, like the other shows. Lately, /This Week/ has been closing
their program by running a video obituary, with solemn cello music in the
background plus stills or video of whatever notable passed away in the
previous week, generally celebrities or politicians, followed by a list of
American dead in Iraq.

This morning, following the obligatory head shot of Yasser Arafat, they
showed,

"Iris Change, 36, author, 'The Rape of Nanking'"

along with a short clip of Ms. (Dr.?) Chang. She was obviously a very
beautiful, intelligent, and articulate woman. Much better looking than most
of you-all, I'm sure. What a shame. Such a waste.

But I was pleased that a major media outlet paid homage to someone from
your honorable profession, history.
