First test launch of Russian launcher "Soyuz-2" went well, a weigth modell od satellite was injected into orbit at 21:38 Moscow time (=18:38 UTC).

"Maquette of a satellite correctly separated from the launcher and entered into precomputed orbit," said the speaker for Russian Space Forces.

The representative of Samara Progress construction bureau deputy head of construction bureau Valery Abrashkin informed RIA Novosti, that the payload for the first launch of Soyuz-2-1A launcher was satellite Oblik.

"This satellte was buit many years ago and was not launched due to lack of funds. Therefore its usefull life is lost and was now used as pyaload weight nad dimension modell, equipped with instrumentation for measurin vibrations a¨nd temeratures during the launch."
