Let me add my deepest condolences also to the Karrask family.
It was such a privilege to discuss with him at the Khrunichev Space
Center Proton facilities the development and production of the L-3
shroud.

Subject: [FPSPACE] Vladimir K. Karrask
It was with great sadness that I learned from C. P. Vick of the recent
passing of Vladimir K. Karrask. As one of Dr. Karrask's colleagues said
in Boston, 1991, "we are in the presence of greatness" (referring to
Vladimir), and that he had put the "first marks on paper" in the design
of the UR-500. He had also worked on the N-1, and shared some of that
experience with us.
My deepest condolences to the Karrask family, and to his friends and
associates. I know he is and will be missed.
